Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data MiniSign collects, why it is used, and how people can exercise their privacy rights.

Last updated: March 8, 2026

Who we are

MiniSign provides electronic document preparation and signature workflows for freelancers and small teams.

If you have privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@minisign.com.

Data we collect

We minimize collection to what is needed to provide the service and maintain security.

  • Account data: name, email, authentication identifiers, and subscription status.
  • Document metadata: document title, signer names/emails, signing state, and timestamps.
  • Security and audit data: audit events, integrity metadata, and request context needed to protect the service.
  • Optional analytics data: reviewed product pageviews, click events, and account-linked workflow events collected only after the account owner enables analytics.
  • Content data: uploaded documents and signature/initial artifacts processed for signing workflows.

How we use data

  • Provide core signing features and document lifecycle operations.
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts from abuse and fraud.
  • Measure non-sensitive product usage and account-linked workflow trends to improve onboarding, pricing, billing, and dashboard flows when analytics consent is granted.
  • Generate audit trails and signed records for legal reliability.
  • Meet legal obligations related to recordkeeping and compliance.

Data protection measures

MiniSign uses encryption at rest, strict token lifecycles, request rate limiting, and auditable event integrity controls to safeguard data.

Access is limited to authorized operations and ownership checks in application services.

Data retention

Retention windows are documented in MiniSign operational policies and may vary by legal obligation.

  • Active account data is retained while your account remains active.
  • Completed documents may be retained for legal recordkeeping requirements.
  • Declined, cancelled, and expired artifacts are retained for shorter operational periods.

Your privacy rights

To exercise rights, contact privacy@minisign.com from your account email address.

  • Access and portability: request a machine-readable export of your account data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Correction: request updates to inaccurate account information.
  • Objection and restriction: request limits on certain processing where applicable.

International transfers and subprocessors

MiniSign works with infrastructure and service providers to deliver the platform. Our current subprocessor list is published separately.

Optional product analytics

Help us improve onboarding, pricing, billing, and dashboard flows. Analytics never include document content, signer emails, or signature data and are synced to your account when you are signed in.
